Gidgee Timber

Australian gidgee wood is an acacia timber prized for its strength and durability. Gidgee is one of Australia's hardest timbers. The heartwood is a deep, rich brown colour and the outer sapwood is very pale. Gidgee timber has a very fine grain and can be highly figured. The indigenous Kalkadoon people made nulla nulla's, shields, boomerangs, swords and clapsticks from gidgee’s rich, brown wood.

Engraving: While the dark timber in this pen makes personalising this timber pen difficult, we can personalise a wooden pen box via laser engraving. In the text box provided:
