Hoop pine is a premium Australian native cabinet timber. The timber is typically light brown to cream, sometimes with a yellow or red hue. It is a very fine and evenly textured wood with a straight grain. The growth rings are visible but not distinct. The timber is used for furniture, boat framing, plywood, paper (pulpwood), and wood turned objects.
