Queensland Kauri Timber

Queensland kauri has a pale yellowish white to pinkish heartwood. Queensland kauri is usually knot-less due to the tree’s tendency to grow into a massive size. Due to extensive logging large trees are quite rare. The grain is usually straight, with a fine, even texture. The common uses of Queensland Kauri include: plywood, cabinet-making, furniture, veneers, musical instruments (especially violins) and it is popular for turned objects. This Queensland kauri was grown in Grafton NSW.
