Silky oak is one of the most popular ornamental native trees in Australia with its stunning vibrant orange, toothbrush like flowers. Silky oak is a medium reddish brown timber, it is highly figured, with distinctive grain and large medullary rays. Silky oak has long been a favourite of furniture makers, wood turners and carvers.
