Story Wood – Eungella Range Blackbutt Timber

This blackbutt timber is from Grace’s family property at Eungella QLD. James and Dagma moved to the property in 1928 when Grace was one. The blackbutt tree was very large and though it was dead, it stood tall as a significant landmark that the family would use to tell people where their property was. Grace is now 92 and James lives on the family property and though the magnificent blackbutt tree fell over in 2018, the legacy of the tree lives on as handcrafted timber pens.
