Celery Top Pine Timber

Australian celery top pine timber is a valuable speciality timber. Celery top pine timber primarily grows in the western highlands of Tasmania and is named for the celery-like appearance of its leaves (which are actually flattened stems). The timber is pale and creamy with clearly defined growth rings. It is strong and durable, highly prized by fine furniture makers and wooden boat builders. The wood is commonly used for flooring, ship masts, spindles and furniture.
