Amethyst

Amethyst is a variety of quartz and formed in lava. When gas bubbles become trapped crystals form inside the cavities created by the bubbles. Impurities of iron give the quartz its distinctive colour which can range from light pinkish purple to lilac to a deep purple colour. We carefully crush and inlay the amethyst, shape coat and polish to a crystal clear shine. The pen pictured is not the pen you will receive but it will be just as stunning and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the makers.
